About
Designs for Everyone started in March 2025, when two engineers and friends — Emma and Simon — spent an afternoon brainstorming ways to get into the business of making things. Curious by nature, we wanted a project that could scratch that itch. It did. While Emma left the project to pursue other opportunities, her vision and creativity are still part of DFE. Other collaborators pitch in from time to time and bring their own flair to it.
DFE is driven by the thrill of putting our designs in front of people. Whether born of utility or of passion, our products aren't just things we want to sell — they're objects we want in our own daily lives, reflecting our personalities and our interests.
The duck in our logo is more than just cute. It's our reminder that making should be joyful, and that there's always room for a little whimsy — or that a rubber duck is still an excellent way to prank a friend.
Our mission
At Designs for Everyone, we make products that brighten everyday life — from practical creations to playful keepsakes. Working mainly in wood, with laser engravers and 3D printers alongside, we bring thoughtful, fun designs into your home. Being engineers means we aren't necessarily the artsy type: we approach things practically, with production in mind. That's how we can offer quality products that are genuinely useful, at a fair price.
We also want to offer a range of educational products for schools: affordable, locally made, and designed so that missing pieces can be replaced over time. Too often we've walked into a classroom to find half the manipulatives gone — and the whole set sitting on a shelf instead of in students' hands.
Our vision
Our vision is simple: to design and build a modern workshop with advanced, competitive manufacturing capability — in woodworking and in other materials — so we can produce high-quality objects at a competitive price for everyday life. Not furniture: things at the scale of daily life, from a kitchen utensil to a school bench. Whether for the home or the classroom, Designs for Everyone will become a leader and a reference point in this field.
